The Queen of Soul has received so much disrespect this week for her cover of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”. Unacceptable! Without the original Queen, there’d be no Beyonces, Mary J.s or Adeles of the world. Aretha Franklin’s voice just gives me chills, it is quite like no other!
My all-time favorite by the Motown legend, is undoubtedly “Natural Woman” because Aretha truly slaaaaays! Don’t forget, it is her sex appeal that is often duplicated but never originated. Some of Aretha’s influence has became lost over time, however I am one youngin’ that can RESPECT a true legend.
