This week’s “That’s My Jam Thursday” is way before my time! 1977 to be exact. I think this was my mom’s sophomore year of college and she hadn’t met my dad yet, so you know no one had dreamed of me just yet. “Love Ballad” by L.T.D. is such a classic.
Growing up, I was exposed to 70’s music but just recently found an appreciation for it. The live band, deep lyrics and unaltered voices make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! L.T.D. had a few modest hits back in the day. The group was formed in Greensboro, so there is a connection to the Carolinas that makes me love these guys even more!
I love that Jeffrey Osbourne keeps the music alive and well now that many of the members have passed. Not too bad for his 60’s.
