It’s very rare for you to see women of color on the covers of magazines at newsstands and grocery stores. When there’s one we rejoice. When there’s two or more we shout for glee. Essence mag, known for highlighting the beauty of black women raised the status quo this week with it’s February issue. One cover was simply not enough for the “Black Girl Magic Class of 2016”. Three powerhouses. Three covers.
