Two artists that will never be cast into the shadows of 90’s urban culture are Puff Daddy and R. Kelly. Long before P. Diddy surfaced, Puffy was on the brink of hip hop mogul status while Robert was doing what he does best, pleasing the ladies. These days, you won’t find Puff on the mic, but it’s nice to look back.
Both artists delivered a smooth collaboration of R&B and hip hop without overstepping boundaries in “Satisfy You”.The 1999 hit even peaked at #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
On the cusp of the new millennium, you could never go wrong with a Hype Williams video: muscle, imagery, sex and a story line to match the song. Enjoy this week’s That’s My Jam Thursday!
